They are joined on the Empress Ballroom stage by Detroit Northern Soul legend, Jimmy Delphs, Chicago’s iconic vocalist Darrow Fletcher and New Orleans’ 60s soul sister, Betty Harris.
To complete one of the most impressive line-ups anywhere next summer is the legendary writer and Motown expert, Adam White who will be presenting a Q+A session in The Opera House.
Richard Searling is the man behind the Blackpool International Soul Festival having organised Northern Soul events for more than 25 years.
As a well-known face on the scene, Richard has organised countless all-nighters across the UK but back in 2016 he wanted to create an even bigger challenge for himself.
The concerts on the iconic Empress Ballroom stage on both the Friday and Saturday night will all be supported by Musical Director Snake Davis and band The Suspicions. With many of the songs set to be performed live for the first time since they were originally recorded in the studio. It’s sure to be a real treat for Soul enthusiasts.
The Festival also features seven rooms throughout the Winter Gardens complex filled with soul music and over 40 DJs from across the UK and Europe. Organisers are expecting thousands of fans to descend on the venue to enjoy the music, hear the Q&A session, visit exhibitions and shop in the Pavilion.
